Rochester Mayor-elect Lovely Warren has announced the first round of appointments for her incoming administration. Staying on will be Deputy Mayor Leonard Redon and Chief Information Officer Lisa Bobo. The rest are new and semi-new faces.

Christine Christopher, who was Warren's chief spokesperson during the mayoral campaign, will be the director of communications. Christopher is the owner of Christopher Communications, a public relations and marketing firm, and is also an independent filmmaker. She has been involved in numerous political campaigns going back to 1990.

Attorney Jeremy Cooney will be Warren's chief of staff. Most recently he was vice president of development for the YMCA, and is a former litigation attorney with Ward Greenberg Heller & Reidy LLP.

Allen Williams is Warren's pick for director of special projects. Allen serves on Monroe Community College's Board of Trustees and is a former member of the Rochester school board. His background is in finances and accounting.

Some people in city government will also be changing jobs. Marisol O. Ramos-Lopez will become commissioner for the Department of Recreation and Youth Services. She is currently an administrator for one of the city's Service Centers. And Norman Jones will lead the Department of Environmental Services. Jones is currently director of the Bureau of Operations and Parks for the city.

Also, earlier today, Rochester Fire Chief Sal Mitrano announced his retirement.
