Posted By on Mon, Mar 23, 2015 at 9:47 AM

Representatives of Advancement Project, a national multi-racial civil rights organization, will give a report on the school-to-prison pipeline problem for black males at 6 p.m. today (Monday, March 23) in room Monroe A/B at Monroe Community College, 1000 East Henrietta Road.

The program’s keynote speaker is Judith Browne-Dianis, co-director of Advancement Project.

Elizabeth Waldstein-Hart, Walkway Over the Hudson’s executive director, will be the speaker for the latest installment of the Community Design Center’s Reshaping Rochester series.

Walkway is a nonprofit group that works to support and improve Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park. The park is a linear walkway spanning the Hudson River — the longest elevated pedestrian bridge in the world.

Waldestein-Hart’s lecture is from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, at Gleason Works Auditorium, 1000 University Avenue. Tickets are $15 each, $10 for seniors over age 65. Information: (585) 271-0520. BY CHRISTINE CARRIE FIEN
