2178 US soldiers, 201 Coalition soldiers, and approximately 27,707 to 31,232 Iraqi civilians have been killed in Iraq from the beginning of the war and occupation to January 1.
15,955 American soldiers have been wounded in action between March 2003 and December 2005. www.icasualties.org estimates that 2590 Iraqi police and military were killed in 2005.
