It's approaching the end of the year, which means the end-of-semester college theatre performances are in high gear. SUNY Brockport presents Machinal, a suspenseful play about a murderous secretary consumed by the monotony of her mundane job, Thursday, December 7, through Saturday, December 9, at 7:30 p.m. in the Tower Main Stage at SUNY Brockport College, 350 New Campus Drive. The University of Rochester's International Theatre Program stages Pulitzer Prize finalist Sarah Ruhl's interpretation of the Orpheus myth, Eurydice, at the Todd Theatre on the River Campus Thursday, December 7, through Saturday, December 16. U of R dance groups also stage "Don't You Wanna Dance!," Friday, December 8, at 8 p.m. in the Upper Strong Auditorium on the River Campus. Performances include the Ballet Performance Group's Les Patineurs ("The Skaters"), a 19th-century, winter-themed ballet by Giacomo Meyerbeer; student-choreographed routines set to pop selections by the Goo Goo Dolls and Ben Folds Five; and more. Tickets are $5 at the door.
