This week's calls to citizenship include the following events and activities. (All are free and open to the public, unless otherwise noted.)

  • The Rochester Women's Community Chorus is presenting "Peace for Piece," a musical appeal for peace at 8 p.m. Saturday, December 2, at the Hochstein Performance Hall, 50 North Plymouth Avenue. Tickets: $12 at door, $10 in advance, $8 students.
  • Metro Justice is holding its 25th annual Alternative Fair from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, December 1, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, December 2, at First Unitarian Church, 220 South Winton Road. Fair trade, earth-friendly, and locally made crafts, games, pottery, and clothing will be available for holiday shoppers. Suggested donation to the fair: $3.
  • The Mankind Project of Upstate New York is sponsoring a screening of Victor Salva's, "The Way of the Peaceful Warrior," at 7 p.m. Monday, December 4, at the Cinema Theater, 957 South Clinton Avenue. The film, based on the novel of the same name by Dan Millman, is a story about one man's spiritual journey. Tickets: $10.
