Let me give it to you slowly, a little bit at a time. There are hundreds of them. And they're glossy. They are titillating exhibitionists. In varying degrees of undress. They begin to take it all off on Saturday, October 13. Did I pique your curiosity? "The Tease: Burlesque Performers of the 1950s & ‘60s," the George Eastman House's newest exhibit, is sure to call in the crowds. Featuring more than 600 publicity photos of burlesque performers, the portraits and poses can be both tantalizing and comedic.
"The Tease" is on through November 25. The George Eastman House is located at 900 East Avenue. Hours are Tuesdays-Saturdays 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Sundays 1-5 p.m., with a late closing of 8 p.m. on Thursdays. Admission is $3-$8. Find out more at eastmanhouse.org or call 271-3361.Article Photos
