Diverse in both subject matter (McDonalds, famous Irish Americans, strip malls) and format (16MM, digital, super 8), Roger Beebe's film chronicles of his 55-day East Coast tour are an exploration in experimental documentaries. Beebe, a professor of Film and Media Studies at the University of Florida and an award-winning filmmaker, presents his collection of tour films at the Visual Studies Workshop Gallery, 31 Prince Street, on Monday, October 15, at 7 p.m. At the bargain rate of $4 you can screen all eight films, with running times of 2 minutes 30 seconds to 15 minutes.
