IRAQ: The country's new priorities

Published on Oct 16, 2007
Has anyone seen the behemoth that is our embassy in Iraq? We should all know the cost of construction and the salaries that will be paid to the occupants for countless years.

Will there be little luxuries while our beautiful young people are ground down with heavy equipment in 100-degree heat, to be picked off like so many hapless targets?

Meanwhile, at home, the administration's poisonous policies drip down on people who work 10 months to make as much money as a CEO makes in 10 minutes, schools are crumbling, children are without health care, Louisiana is still in shambles, and all that made our country great is evaporating at an alarming rate.

Hail to the thief!
