In a unique event that brings angling enthusiasts and lovebirds together, Rochester River Romance manages to set passion against the scenic backdrop of the Genesee River Friday, October 5-Sunday, October 7. Activities include guided walking tours through Mount Hope Cemetery, moonlight skates, a salmon run, and an invitational regatta. If you're in a sentimental mood, renew your vows in front of the 98' waterfall in the historic High Falls district (Friday, 7 p.m., no charge) or glide down the river with your favorite person during a guided canoe tour of the Lower Genesee (Sunday, noon, $15).
