Snazzy-suited rockers The Hi-Risers make for an instant party: plug ‘em in, add whiskey, and watch ‘em go! Even the group's downtime is upbeat, as Greg Townson and his guitar rock the Rochester kids at solo shows; Todd Bradley keeps up appearances as a man-about-town; and Jason Smay drums with Los Straitjackets. Next on the calendar is a live taping at WXXI and the release of a new album in the works at Saxon Recording. The last local gig was packed; expect the same this weekend. Get there early and strap on those dancing shoes. Everyone around you is gonna be footloose too.
