From dirty diapers and temper tantrums to clogged pores and neglected household chores, parenting is never easy. There is, however, a certain humor that prevails. "Parenting 101: A Musical Guide to Raising Parents" manages to find the funny in the toughest job in the world. The musical parody, written by sisters Nancy and Susan Holson, combines catchy music and a set-up worthy of a family sitcom. The cast is made up of merely four actors, and the story focuses on major events that most children and parents face: birth, toilet training, and weddings, to name a few.
"Parenting 101" starts its run at the Downstairs Cabaret Theater, 20 Windsor Street, Wednesday, October 17, at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $24-$27. For more information visit downstairscabaret.com or call 325-4370.
