BLUES: Guy Forsyth (11/16)

Published by Frank De Blase on Nov 14, 2007
Guy Forsyth is a roots rock juke box, a 21st century honky tonk hero. He's an original member of The Asylum Street Spankers and now on his own still struts the Tin Pan Alley. He plays it lonesome, mean, and sanctified on guitar, Mississippi saxophone, saw, and whatever else he may be possessed to strike. Last time I saw him in Texas, he was wondering through the bar howlin' for his baby with no mic and no shame. He stopped by this summer, but weren't nobody hardly there. Here's your chance again. No excuses this time. You like the blues? Then Guy's your guy, baby.
