America is a baby as far as countries go, but it has still offered many treasures to the world's culture, not the least of them jazz. In the last performance in a trilogy of concerts, "Dancin' Through the History of Jazz" exhibits how original American-style jazz inspired types of dance the world over.
Narrated by Peabody Award-winner Michael Lasser, the event features choreographer Bill Evans and his dance partner Adrienne Wilson kicking up their heels to the Rochester Classic Jazz Band. The hoofing history lesson takes place on Friday, November 16, at 8 p.m., at the Nazareth College Arts Center, 4245 East Avenue. Tickets cost $38. Call the box office at 389-2170 to get your dance card.
