I'm not just saying this because Christmas trees are green, or because mom used to put away the Bailey's Irish Cream during the holidays. But there's just something about Irish music that lends itself to Christmastime. Hailing from Galway and Dublin, Grada is a band with traditionally rooted Irish music that coasts with a contemporary momentum. Consequently it's a little more accessible to those who get lost in a lot of the music's anticipated exuberance. That's not to say Grada isn't energetic, it's just the band's harmonies and gentle melodies - downright melancholy in spots - go down smooth, like Irish cream.
