NIGHTLIFE: Coyote Joe's closes down

Though perhaps rather sudden to some patrons of Coyote Joe's, the recent closing of the popular East End bar was strictly business.
"Our lease expired," says Ronnie Davis of the Ronnie Davis Group, which owned the bar along with several other venues in the area. "The hotel [the owns the property] wants to put a restaurant in there because they have some other people who are interested in buying the property. It's tough to renew a lease when other owners want to buy the whole property. They want to do their own thing with it and have their own say."
Davis says there are no plans to re-open the club at another location.
