POLITICS: For Brennan, a no-go

Last week, School Board member Tom Brennan was toying with the idea of running for the northwest City Council seat, which will be vacant when longtime Councilmember Bob Stevenson retires at the end of the year. But Brennan said today that he's decided not to run. The reason, he says: a prominent Democrat from that district will be announcing for the seat later this week.
