POLITICS: Robach will sit tight

Republican State Senator Joe Robach is happy where he is and won't: A) accept a job in the Spitzer administration, or B) rejoin the Democratic Party.
The Dems, who need to capture only two seats in the State Senate to have control, have been courting Robach and a couple of other Republicans, hoping to get them to jump ship. Robach says that while he's flattered, he thinks he can do more for his Rochester district and for Upstate by staying in the Republican-dominated Senate. And he says he thinks his party will maintain control, despite the Democrats' efforts.
