LITERATURE: Giant Used Book Sale (3/15-3/18)

You've been waiting for it and it's finally here. When they say it's giant, they mean GIANT. With more 40,000 tomes to choose from, the Central Library of Rochester's GIANT Used Book Sale is challenging to navigate in only three days. Doors open Friday, March 16, at 9 a.m., and you have until 5 p.m. to load up. The collecting continues with the same hours on Saturday and concludes on Sunday, March 18, 1-4 p.m. with a bargain --- $3 per brown paper grocery bag full of books.
The sale takes place in the Kate Gleason Auditorium of the library at 115 South Avenue. A preview sale for Friends of the Library will be held on Thursday, March 15, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. If you're not a member, you can join for $5 at the door. 428-8322.
