SPECIAL EVENT: Orchid Show (3/8-3/11)

Attention flower fans: the Sonnenberg Gardens and Mansion State Historic Park holds its orchid show Thursday, March 8, through Sunday, March 11. Here's your chance to learn about growing the notoriously finicky, exotic plants, purchase a few for your own collection, or just catch a glimpse of these beautiful flowers. There will also be a wine tasting, plant-potting classes, and the show will conclude with an orchid raffle.
The orchid show takes place 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults, $1 for children ages 5-12 (children under 5 are free). Sonnenberg is locate at 151 Charlotte Street in Canandaigua. For further information call 394-4922 or go to www.sonnenberg.org.
