Throughout April, the Rochester Association for the Education of Young Children (RAEYC) is sponsoring the Second Annual Children's Film Festival, bringing family films to area libraries, childcare centers, and schools, as well as special screenings at the Little Theatre and the George Eastman House's Dryden Theatre. The festival kicked off April 2, but there are plenty of activities left on the schedule. On Thursday, April 12, at 2 p.m., the Dryden Theatre will play a collection of family shorts, including classics like The Red Balloon, an "Our Gang Adventure" episode, and a 3D short (glasses provided).
Tickets to the Dryden Theatre event are $2 per person, not to exceed $6 per family. For more information on the Children's Film Festival, visit www.raeyc.org. For more information on the Dryden Theatre program on April 12, visit www.eastmanhouse.org.
