RELIGION: CUFI's 'love gifts' for God

Published on Apr 17, 2007
Jeremy Moule has done well to trace the origin of the March 25 "Night to Honor Israel" event to a national organization of the preacher John Hagee ("Local Evangelicals Join ‘Honor Israel' Push"). I suggest that all watch a few hours of Pat Robertson, John Hagee, and Rod Parsley to truly understand the type of religion being presented by these people. You can catch them on the Trinity Broadcasting Network. While there, one may note the remarkable resemblance of Trinity's owners, Paul and Jan Crouch, to their predecessors, Tammy Faye and Jimmy Baker.

But the fundraising? One has to see it to believe it. Their doctrine includes the concept of an interactive male God who richly rewards people who give a "love gift" to God, right here and now, with real money and material goods. The question of how one can give a love gift to God is answered by the telephone number displayed on your screen, and by examples of other lucky winners.

Apparently, the same interactive God who rewards membership in the 700 Club also granted a 10,000-square-mile tract of land in Palestine to the Jews, without bothering to inform the Palestinians.
