Anaheim, California's The Willowz --- another So-Cal sympathy band full of raw 'n' raunchy, rock 'n' roll goodness.
This quartet plays with the kind of honesty that's missing today. Everything it plays seems to be there for a reason no matter how raunchy or inconsequential it may seem. When the band approaches the ceiling, you know it means it. It sounds good, baby. Besides, ex-Raunchette Betsy Palmer says the band is cool.
Willowz play with Angry Johnny and Tiger Cried Beef, Thursday, May 3, at The Bug Jar, 219 Monroe Avenue, 454-2966, 8 p.m., $6-$8.
