SPECIAL EVENT: Southest Community Spirit Parade (5/5)

Celebrate the city - or at least a big part of it - with the Southeast Community Spirit Parade on Saturday, May 5. Residents of the Swillburg, Main Street, Mt. Hope, Ellwanger Barry, and Upper Monroe neighborhoods will represent, and Congresswoman Louise Slaughter will serve as grand marshal. A special focus is being placed on youth doing positive things in the community, so expect contingents from the School of the Arts Step Team, the YMCA All-Stars, and hundreds more.
The parade starts at 2 p.m. and follows South Clinton Avenue from Highland Parkway to Meigs Street, and then down to 550 Meigs Street.
