SPECIAL EVENT: "Hail to the Chief, Hail to the Chef" (6/9)

Published on Jun 05, 2007

If you're into the pomp that is part of politics, you won't want to miss the Genesee Country Village and Museum's major annual fundraiser, the Whirl. The museum's Exhibition Hall will become the White House's State Dining Room, and "guests" will include actors portraying some of our most legendary presidents and their first ladies. Walter Scheib, who served as the White House executive chef from 1994 to 2005, will be in attendance, and the Brighton Symphony Orchestra will perform. It's the part of government that you always wanted to be a part of.

The Genesee Country Village and Museum is located at 1410 Flint Hill Road in Mumford. The 2007 Whirl, "Hail to the Chief...Hail to the Chef," will be held on Saturday, June 9. The Presidential Reception is at 5:30 p.m., and the State Dinner will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $100. Visit www.gcv.org or call 538-6822 for more information.
