KIDS: Harry Potter parties (7/20)

You've got one last chance to don your formal wizard robes and pull that broomstick out of the closet. The Harry Potter parties to end all Harry Potter parties are coming, tied to the release of the final book in the series, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," on Friday, July 20.And local bookstores and libraries are pulling out all the stops.
All area Barnes & Noble locations (Greece Ridge Center, Pittsford Plaza, Webster Town Center) will hold parties the night of the release. Webster's starts at 10 p.m., Greece's begins at 9 p.m., and Pittsford's at 8 p.m. Visit bn.com for more information.
The same night, Borders locations in Victor (across from Eastview Mall) and Henrietta (across from Marketplace Mall) will host a "Deathly Hallows Ball" for Potterphiles. Victor's starts at 9:30 p.m., Henrietta's at 8 p.m. Go to Bordersmedia.com for more information.
Lift Bridge Book Shop in Brockport (45 Main Street) will start a Potter party at 10 p.m.; admission is $5. Call 637-2260 for info. And the Irondequoit Public Library is getting in on the fun too with a celebration 2-4 p.m. Call 336-6062 to register.
