COST OF WAR: The Iraq conflict by the numbers (8/22/07)

TOTALS - 3699 U.S. soldiers, 297 Coalition soldiers, and approximately 69,806 to 76,258 Iraqi civilians have been killed in Iraq from the beginning of the war and occupation to August 17.

6061 Iraqi policemen and guardsmen have been killed since January 2005, according to an estimate compiled from news reports.
