FESTIVAL: Flour City Brewers' Fest (8/17)

Tired of reading about expensive wine tasting tours at vineyards that require a few tanks of gas to get to? Looking for a real warm-up for Oktoberfest? The Rohrbach Brewing Company is holding the Flour City Brewers' Fest this week. For the first time the event will take place at Frontier Field, leaving plenty of room for beer, food, and music. Most of the fermented selections will come from local and national microbreweries. Sop some of the booze up with a pig roast, and detox while watching a home-brewing demonstration.
Brewers' Fest takes place Friday, August 17, 5-10 p.m. Tickets cost $20-$25 (designated drivers and other non-beer drinkers get in for $5). Tickets and more information at www.fcbrewfest.com, or call 594-9800.
