Two reasons to bring as many little kids as you can find to the Brockport Arts Festival this weekend: Cool Kids Day and CAN-imals on Parade. The Generation Cool events include performances by "Bubblemania," street chalk graffiti, Lollypop Farms petting zoos, "giant chess," and unbelievable jugglers. CAN-imals sculpture competitors have been collecting canned goods for months and will display their creations for prizes. The goal this year is to collect more 20,000 cans for local food shelves.
Cool Kids Day and CAN-imals on Parade will take place Saturday, August 11, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., at the Brockport Arts Festival along Main Street in Brockport. The events are free, but attendees are encouraged to donate non-perishable and canned foods. Visit www.generationcool.biz for complete details about the kids' events, or www.bisco-brockport.org for information about the Brockport Arts Festival.
