If antique tractors and steam engines really get you going under the hood, you won't want to miss the New York Steam Engine Association's 47th Annual Pageant of Steam. The affair stretches out over more than 100 acres in Canandaigua, and includes parades, tractor pulls, plowing and saw mill demonstrations, an unbelievable craft and flea market, and of course, tons of antique vehicles. And you thought pageants were girly.
The Pageant of Steam is held off Gehan Road. It runs Wednesday, August 8, through Saturday, August 11, 8 a.m.-8 p.m., with live music 8-11 p.m. Admission is $5/adults, and kids under 12 are free. Visit www.pageantofsteam.org for more details.
