ART: Fiber Arts Festival (9/15 & 9/16)

The sheep dog trials might be cancelled, but the 2007 Finger Lakes Fiber Arts Festival must go on. There's still plenty of interesting diversions at the fest, including daily demonstrations on sheep shearing, sock knitting, basket weaving, and the many wonders of flax. It's more interesting than it sounds, we promise!
The event runs Saturday and Sunday, September 15-16, at the Hemlock Fairgrounds in Hemlock. Hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Admission costs $4 for one day, $5 for both. For more information visit gvhg.org/fest.html.
