POLICE: Chief reviewing alleged June 1 attacks

The investigation into police response in the alleged June 1 beatings near Monroe Avenue - some of whose alleged victims were gay - has moved a step closer to completion. The Civilian Review Board has completed its review and has submitted it to Police Chief David Moore, says department spokesperson Deidre Taccone. Moore, who will review the investigation next, plans to update the public this week, Taccone says.
