Town Board member Mike Yudelson defeated long-time Supervisor Jim Breese in Tuesday's Republican and Independence Party primaries.
Yudelson, who will face independent Jeffrey Kueppers in the November general election, was the Henrietta Republican Committee's choice. Breese had the backing of County Executive Maggie Brooks and Republican Party Chair Steve Minarik.
Yudelson received 1,482 votes - 69.5 percent - in the Republican primary and 50 votes -77 percent - in the Independence primary. Breese's totals: 650 Republican votes and 15 votes Independence.
Twenty-nine percent of Henrietta's registered Republicans voted.
