While Finger Eleven is likely still best known for its acoustic, alt-rock hit "One Thing", they are again making waves in the U.S. with their new tune "Paralyzer", which is a better example of what the band can do. A guitar-driven rock band out of Canada, Finger Eleven puts together some pretty funky grooves with sometimes frantic lyrics and melodies, which may draw comparisons to Papa Roach or even Franz Ferdinand. One can expect a pretty fun rock show, and the acoustics of Water Street should compliment the band's sound well. Expect to hear a bulk of the set coming from their newest release "Them vs. You Vs. Me" and since it's all ages, nothing should be too offensive (under 16 year olds need to be accompanied by an adult).
Finger Eleven, with Australian rock trio Sick Puppies, perform Tuesday, September 18, The Club @ Water Street, 204 N Water Street, 325-5600, 7:30 p.m., $13
