Living in Brooklyn in the late-1980's, saxophonist Mike Lee had no shortage of inspiration. When he wasn't studying with sax great Joe Lovano, he was collaborating with his roommate, future trumpet star Dave Douglas. Since then he has brought his progressive, hard bop style to recordings and/or tours with the Maria Schneider Orchestra, Mulgrew Miller, Lovano and many others. At the Strathallan, he'll play with the Bill Dobbins Quartet Friday and the Bob Sneider Quartet Saturday.
