Manu Chao "La Radiolina"

Natioanle Records

Published by Brendan Giusti on Jan 09, 2008

Manu Chao, with years of touring under his belt, has released another danceable, anti-establishment album in "La Radiolina." Though the songs often aren't sung in English, you don't have to speak French or Spanish (the singer's native languages) to understand the message. The feel of the music gets the message across with its chanting, wailing blues guitar, and steady, feel-good, reggae grooves. The group openly criticizes the Bush Administration in its lyrics and talks freely about its anti-globalization sentiments. It's protest music at its finest; danceable, under the mainstream radar, and captivating.
