Sexy, provocative, dark, and thoughtful, Kander & Ebb's classic "Cabaret" starts the year off right for Geva Theatre. The 1966 musical remains as exciting as it ever was, with outstanding musical numbers and a topical political undertone that makes it clear what happens when good people do nothing while bad things happen (to borrow a turn of phrase). Geva's production looks like a slick, showy treat, so come to the "Cabaret," old chum.
"Cabaret" begins its run Wednesday, January 9, and continues through February 17. Tickets cost $22-$60. For more information call 232-4382 or visit gevatheatrecenter.org.
