Rochester native Alec Wilder (1907-1980) graduated from the Eastman School of Music and went on to become one of the greatest American songwriters. Eastman faculty members and their guests celebrate Wilder's 101st birthday with a line-up that includes pianist Bill Dobbins, trombonist John Marcellus, The Kilbourn Saxophone Quartet with Chienkwan Lin and Jamal Rossi, percussionist John Beck, guitarist Bob Sneider, saxophonist Dave Glasser, vocalist/guitarist Dawn Thomson, and others. With Wilder's songs on tap, it should be the perfect show for Valentine's Day.
