Hudson business group to meet

The Hudson Avenue Business Association will hold a meeting at 6 p.m., on Monday, February 11, to discuss grants for property owners and phase two of the Hudson Avenue Corridor Study at 1370 Hudson Avenue.

Reshaping Rochester

The Rochester Regional Community Design Center will present Bruce Katz, who will discuss "The Two Percent Solution: Drawing a Critical Mass of Residents Downtown is Key to Urban Revival," as part of the Reshaping Rochester lecture series. Katz will speak at St. Mary Church, 15 St. Mary's Place, on Tuesday, February 12, at 7 p.m. Tickets: $10 in advance, $15 at the door, and $5 for students with IDs. Information: 271-0520.

Water wars

The League of Women Voters will show the documentary film "Thirst" at 10 a.m. on Thursday, February 7, at WXXI, 280 State Street. The film predicts that the next wars will be over fresh water.

It's easy being green in Brighton

Living in Harmony speaker Margy Peet will discuss "Color Brighton Green" on Tuesday, February 12 at the Henrietta United Church of Christ, 1400 Lehigh Station Road, at 7 p.m.

Super Tuesday, now what?

The UR will present veteran political writer Thomas DeFrank on Thursday, February 7. He will discuss the results of Super Tuesday on the presidential race and the remaining states to hold either caucuses or primary elections. DeFrank will be at the Rush Rhees Library at 5 p.m.

A new vision for downtown

Friends of the Rochester Public Library will present "Changes Downtown: Plans and Designs" with speaker Joni Monroe, executive director of the Rochester Regional Community Design Center. Monroe will present the latest look at a Downtown Charette for Rochester from 12:12 p.m. to 12:52 p.m. at the Central Library, Gleason Auditorium, 114 South Avenue.
