It was an eye opener to read about our very own Edith Lunt Small ("Don't Call her Grandma Moses," January 23). The article refers to a "huge 3X5 painting of Midtown Plaza... locked up somewhere with the dying commercial center."
Please: not so fast to bury the still breathing. The witty and colorful multimedia piece is prominently and attractively displayed on the upper tier of Midtown Plaza on the wall leading to Burger King. And while you're up there, peek in to see the few-of-a-kind outfits carried by Pert's Boutique; then gaze at the Jungle Gym sculpture by Dorothy Riester.
You might also like to experience the serenity, warmth, and reading material of the Christian Science Reading Room and enjoy a lunch from Fruit & Salad Company There are still shop owners in the very conveniently located Midtown Plaza who are daily cleaning their windows, keeping displays interesting and new, and serving customers with a willing heart.
There are many of us who still delight in a trip to Midtown Plaza and hate to have it referred to as "dying" as we yet shop there. It's a most lovely place. Please come see the original clock depicted in Edith Lunt Small's 3X5 piece in addition to seeing her original rendition of the alive and living Midtown Plaza.
