LECTURE: Organic Veggies (2/17)
Published by Dale Evans on Feb 13, 2008
Going green is a hot topic these days, and there's How-To's aplenty on how to lower energy consumption. But if you want to go organic with your greens, the information can be confusing. The Rochester Area Vegetarian Society is offering a program on Sunday, February 17, that will hopefully blow the cloudiness away as it answers the questions of where to get local organic veggies and what the heck a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) is anyway. At 5:30 p.m. the program begins with a vegan share-a-dish, with the lecture starting at 7 p.m. The event takes place at Brighton Town Park Lodge, 777 Westfall Road. RAVS members are free, non-members pay $3. Visit the website at rochesterveg.org or call 234-8750 for more information.
