Some people will see edgy, modern art. Others will simply see a log strapped to a harness with a seagull skull placed on the top. Jeremy Quiroga sees a voyage of wood led by a seagull. That, along with several other of Quiroga's pieces, will be on display for "(Arte de'Q) Subconscious," the artist's BFA Senior Thesis Exhibition.
Debra Ruzinsky, on the other hand, plays with kiln-cast glass. "Sweet Reassurance" is her MFA thesis exhibition, through which she displays works that include one that resembles a giant glass space ship with a miniature man standing nearby in awe.
"(Arte de'Q) Subconscious" and "Sweet Reassurance" run through March 26 at NTID's Dyer Arts Center on the RIT Campus. The artists' reception takes place Friday, March 14, 6-9 p.m. Gallery hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; Thursday 9 a.m.-7:30 p.m.; Saturday 1-3:30 p.m. For more information call 475-6855 or visit ntid.rit.edu/dyerarts/.
