USA Today called Chip Kidd "the closest thing to a rock star" in the graphic design world, which is a big deal for a book cover designer. Now he comes to Rochester to speak as part of Rochester Arts & Lectures current season. Kidd's newest book, "Chip Kidd: Book One: Work: 1989-2006" chronicles his numerous cover designs and draft sketches for books that include "Jurassic Park" and other New York Times bestsellers.
Chip Kidd's lecture takes place Thursday, March 13, at 7:30 p.m. at the Downtown United Presbyterian Church, 121 North Fitzhugh Street. Seating at the event is sold out, but standing-room-only tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis for $15. More information is available by calling 546-8658 or visiting artsandlectures.org.
