POLITICS: Reynolds appointee under scrutiny

The FBI is investigating Christopher Ward, former National Republican Congressional Committee treasurer, in connection with hundreds of thousands of dollars reportedly missing from committee accounts, reports the New York Times.
Ward abruptly resigned his position several weeks ago. He was appointed five years ago by U.S. Representative Tom Reynolds, who chaired the committee until he stepped down last year.
