If you missed getting your haggis fix at the Robert Burns Dinner back in January, you'll have a chance to get one all your own at the Tartan Day Festival. Haggis raffles are just one of the delicacies the event will serve up. Would you like to learn to play the fiddle? Make a bagpipe? Sew a kilt? All of these workshops, and more, will be offered, along with exhibits, music, dancing, and Scottish foods. You can even research your clan and clan tartan.
The celebration runs Sunday, April 6, noon-6 p.m. at the Armory, 900 East Main Street. Tickets cost $5, with free admission for children 10 and under. (Tickets are only $3 with a stub from The Irish Children's Program benefit at 11 a.m. the same day at Waterstreet Grill.) E-mail the organizer at brit250@hotmail.com for advance tickets and more information
