RECREATION: Bird of Prey Days (4/11-4/13)

Published by Brendan Giusti on Apr 09, 2008

Tens of thousands of flying creatures (if not more) circle Rochester every spring looking for food. These birds of prey - owls, hawks, bald eagles - are mostly just temporary visitors, making a layover stop in our area before heading further north. The folks at Braddock Bay Park are hosting Bird of Prey Days, a three-day festival filled with hikes, presentations, demos, tours, and opportunities to take photos of these animals yourself.

Bird of Prey Days take place Friday, April 11, through Sunday, April 13, at Braddock Bay Park, East Manitou Road, Greece. Hour-long events start at 7 p.m on Friday and run 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m. on Saturday and 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday. Call 267-5483 or visit bbrr.org for a complete listing of the weekend's activities.
