REN SQUARE: RBJ says Slaughter foresees funding loss

Today's print edition of the Rochester Business Journal says that Representative Louise Slaughter thinks Renaissance Square will lose a substantial amount of the federal funds promised for the project. Slaughter told RBJ that authorization for $18.6 million in federal funds will expire in September and authorization for $9.3 million more will expire a year later, and that she thinks the funding won't be reapproved. Ren Square's projected cost is about $230 million.
