At this point, Ted Neeley may be older than Jesus was when he sang his last Hosanna. But that isn't stopping the actor from playing the part in what is being dubbed the Farewell Tour of "Jesus Christ Superstar." The first musical collaboration between legendary writing team Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber will be performed at the Auditorium Theatre for three performances only, Friday, April 11, at 8 p.m., and Saturday, April 12, at 2 and 8 p.m. Be warned: so many people are familiar with the musical's songs that it could turn into a sing-a-long.
The Auditorium is located at 885 East Main Street. Tickets run $30-$55 and can be purchased at the box office or from ticketmaster.com, or by calling 232-1900.
