The New York State Department of Education released a report today that recognized improved performance at 21 city elementary schools based on requirements of No Child Left Behind. School No. 7, School No. 23, and World of Inquiry School No. 58 are those that performed especially well in English and math in 2006-2007, and have been designated as "high-performing, gap closing" schools.
