On Sunday Sept 20, I was bicycling the towpath in Orleans County, heading east. There were approximately 6 horseback riders heading west. Going by the actions of both horses and riders I would say they were both very poorly trained. One of the horses bolted and knocked a woman off her bicycle onto the large stones lining the canal bank. The rider responsible for knocking the woman off her bicycle, did not dismount, would not give his name, did not ask if she was hurt, and was adamant the police not be called. He them rode off into the sunset with the rest of riders. (By the way, none of the other riders stopped). As far as I know the woman only suffered minor scratches. Now I am going to make this political, I will bet one thousand dollars that every one of those equestrians if they vote, they vote republican and everyone of them will tell you what good Christians they are. Any Takers?
