My high school best friend can not admit that he is a conservative Republican. If he's ever voted for a Democrat, he has purposely kept it secret from me. He masquerades as an "independent." My best friend is sadly misinformed by spoon fed television news - he doesn't read because it "gives me a headache." But at least he has an opinion and takes the time to watch the news and be informed, if sadly ill-informed. The "voters" I have the least respect for are those so called independents that aren't even that aware. Anyone who takes the time to be informed today can no longer remain a true "independent."
